“We must be ready to suffer” – Antonio Conte

Chelsea FC face of FC Barcelona in the round of 16 Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge, London. The Blues are expecting a tough game against the Catalan giants and are prepared to face the likes of Messi, Suarez, and Iniesta on Tuesday night.

Antonio Conte – Chelsea FC manager answered to the press revealing the facts that they go into the games as underdogs with Barcelona hailed as favorites to win over two legs. When asked about how ready Chelsea are for the game he said  “We are talking about a massive game, a big challenge, to play against a fantastic team like Barcelona, the best in the world. I think this type of game we must be excited to play. For sure it won’t be easy. We are talking about a fantastic team, with fantastic players like Messi Suarez , Iniesta “

About his game plan, he revealed that ” We are ready to suffer without the ball, to be compact at the back and hit them on the counter. We will try not lose our heads during the game”.

“We start as underdogs for sure, on paper Barca are favorites to go on the next round but we are excited to challenge and understand our level in the competition”.

When asked about his plan for Messi he laughed and said “We are talking about the best player in the world, Messi has the capacity to solve situations and create the chance when not expected. We are talking about a great player. But we are not paying attention only to Messi but on Messi, Suarez, Iniesta and the entire team“.
